Now imagine a game where the commander controls the resources via a rts type display, he doesnt even spawn into the game so no danger of him dying and he orders in the ammo and vehicles and the people down on the bottom play a fps game and capture the points.
The more points you have the more resources pour in and the better weaponry and vehicles your team gets. commader gives the orders and if you follow them you get rewarded with extra xp ... cause lets face it in pub games people won’t listen to you unless they have something to gain from it.
The engis can ask for point defenses and health and ammo drops but it costs resource points, snipers can ask for different artilery strikes (pinpoint, spread, or heavy) but they cost more. squad leaders can ask for multiple UAV’s but they all cost resources.
Most maps have zones to capture the higher your zone count the higher number of resources are given to your team and the better vehicles your commander can drop in. So lets say with 1 zone controlled you get access to 1 tank and 2 jeeps, 2 zones give you 2 tanks and 4 jeeps, 3 zones give 2 tanks 4 jeeps and 1 attack chopper.
controlling zones just gives resources and the option to have better weaponry and vehicles but capturing flags slowly drains the enemy tickets, so you can still win even if you only control 1 zone but have 3 flags etc etc. So as a team your forced to either attack a zone and get better weaps or take the flag and get a few tickets down.
