Ok well i failed my psyche test nd they wnt let me into being a Ammo Tech :(

The army gave me 10days leave to come up with what new trade/job i want to change to.

And i have absolutely no idea, ive got a few ideas but none stand out as one i really want to do.

Supply Tech http://army.mil.nz/careers/become-a-soldier/careers-at-a-glance/support/supply-technician.htm
Movement Operator http://army.mil.nz/careers/become-a-soldier/careers-at-a-glance/support/movement-operator.htm and
infantry. http://army.mil.nz/careers/become-a-soldier/careers-at-a-glance/combat/rifleman.htm

Would just like to see what your guys opinions on each of those is,

really appreciate your help.

I have no army experiance at all mate but the one that stands out is the “Rifleman ”

Other then that a “Movement officer” only becuse once you get out you could run a Logistics company

Sometimes you have to think well ahead of the path you may end up taking grin

Example: As a fully Quilified Auto electrician i never thought i would be in a traffic control room some 20 years later , Life has its own funny way of deciding your path .

Depends on what you really want out of the experience,

Like Pez said, you really do need to plan ahead in life. Movement Op can open doors out side of the Army if your not planing to stay for the long run. Though it really comes down to what YOU want to be doing.

Become a UAV pilot =) Just like a video game =D

i also agree with pez and nutoi go for something that interests you but has a civil purpose i dont see to may things you can get from being a rifleman unless your thinking of owning a range but i dont see them being a massive call for.

Thats why im trying for driver (because i drive trucks already) and my next pref. is marine specialist ( driver but with army{not navy} boats and amp. vehicles)

Yeah i see where ur coming from about Rifleman not having much outside the army.

The Supply tech i thought was good because u can do a fair number of specialist courses but i dnt think its going to kepp me interested coz its a lot of written work and desk work.

Well if the NZ army is anything like the AUS army i can older this advice. My older cousin and uncle are in the army n they say starting out as a rifleman is being a shit kicker ROFLOL but can get better as you go along, jus keep workin on advancing through the ranks. Techs in general, dont get paid much but more than rifleman to start but later you might be able to move on to an engineering position. which rakes in money. As for the other one Logistic officer usually pays pretty well but i dont know to much about its role, so you might wanna check deeply in these 3 options anyway because their pathways are pretty extensive but lead in different directions to each other later on in your career (if you plan to follow in that line). But have you ever considered joinin the airforce, I know the AUS airforce pays better than its army for basically the same jobs n they dont get deployed as much so big plus in terms of stability but if you wanna travel, army is the way point black deloyed where ever and when ever ROFLOL.
But above all, see if the army recruitment dep. has career adviser/counselor and get their opinion and they will help you make the right decision if you give the information they need. I hope this helps : )
